Money from water, back to on the water

Once there was a dairy man. He would milk his cows every day and sell the milk in his village. He lived very peaceful and happy life. He was well-knowing for supplying fresh milk, even in the nearby villages.
One day he became greedy. He thought to himself “How long will I have to stay poor like this? let me mix some water into my milk. This way I can earn more money!”.
According to his plan he mixed water in his milk and sold it to the villagers. To his surprise his sales had increased. He was jumping with joy!  Money was rolling in like no one could imagine.
One day he took his bag full of money and went skipping on home. It was the summer and the heat unbearable. As he was  passing by a lake he decided to stop and rest under a nearby tree, catching a cool breeze within a few minutes he was sound sleep.
There was a monkey who live on that tree. The monkey hadn’t eaten since morning and he was extremely hungry, He saw that the  dairyman had a big bag with him. The monkey thought ”there must some food in that bag,”
He grabbed the bag and opened it up. To his surprise he saw hundreds of brand new shiny coins. The monkey snatched the bag and climbed the tree, The monkey did not value the money. He started tossing the coins to the lake, He would throw it at the birds in the nearby tree. He was enjoying himself by throwing away the money. when he went to throw the last coin it fell on dairyman’s head, immediately he woke up.
He look up and saw the monkey with empty bag in his hand, He looked around and saw a bunch of coins lying in the grass around the tree, The monkey had had his fun and then ran off into the woods.
The dairyman started crying. Sobbing he collected as many coins as he could find. He counted the money and realized that the money he earned, from the water which he mixed in the milk, was in the lake
And the money he earned from the actual milk portion, was all the remained in his hand.

Moral : Sooner or later everyone must bear the fruits of their dishonesty.

The fasting monkey

Once upon a time there was a sage who had an ashram  in the forest, daily they held spiritual discourses and many people from the village would attend. As usual, spiritual discourses were going on and the topic for the day was fasting. The sage was explaining the importance of fasting in religion.
Sitting on a nearby tree branch was a monkey. He was listening to the discourse about fasting. He came to find out that by observing fasts one can accumulate great merits.
One day he decided, “I want to fast and accumulate merits too.” The perfect day arrived and observed a fast. All they he passed time by sitting on the tree and turning the rosary chanting, Ram Ram. Soon the sunset and it began to get dark. Time flew by and it was already night time before he knew it. He couldn’t handle the fast anymore and started starving. He could no longer focus on God. Obviously, because he’s a monkey!
All types of thoughts started running through the monkey’s head, “If I wait until tomorrow morning, I’ll starve to death. I won’t have the strength to search for any food. Forget it, I’ll just find something to eat right now.”
Searching around he found some food and put it on the tree at a distance. Again, he started chanting god’s name, Ram Ram. Again he started to think to himself, “If I wait until tomorrow morning I won’t even be able to walk. How will I be able to reach that food?” he retrieved the food and put it near his feet. Again, he started chanting God’s name. Remember my friends, this is a monkey. Do monkeys ever sit still? He thought to himself, “By morning my hands will become weak too. I won’t even be able to put a morsel of food in my mouth.
Thus, he decided to put all of the food in his mouth at the same time. With his mouth full he realized he wouldn’t be able to chant God’s name. he started chewing the food. As soon as you know it had finished eating and fell sound asleep.

Moral : Friends, when we fast we should have it fixed in our minds that, “I want to complete this fast no matter what happens.” Don’t be like the monkey. Who had a weak mind, and broke his fast. Be strong!!!!

How the dog, cat and mouse became enemies (Part III)

Cat and Dog began to mew and bark under the tree, and called out to the eagle to fight. The bird opened his eyes and angrily looked down at them.
"Who is that?" he asked. "I'll show you who is master of the forest. When he saw Dog and Cat running round and round the tree, he opened his wings and tried to fly. Instead, a cloud of feathers whirled from his wings and floated down to the ground. The eagle was unable to fly and fell to the ground.
He tried to hop away but Cat jumped at his head. Her sharp claws pierced the bird's eyes. At the same time Dog jumped on his back and bit into the eagle's flesh. The eagle beat his useless wings. He tried in vain to use his claws and he also tried to use his beak to peck at Dog and Cat. He rolled
over and over on the ground but he could not shake off Dog who finally pierced the eagle's throat. The once so powerful bird fell motionless on the ground. He was dead!
The three animals returned proudly to the palace. They were tired and dirty but they felt very happy. Mouse, Cat and Dog had proved they could kill the eagle.
The king kept his word. The three friends were allowed to live in the palace and eat the same food as the king. All the ministers treated them with great respect. Everybody in the country said how clever and brave they were.
All this praise and honour changed the three friends. They became boastful. Each one said he was the greatest hero of all.
"I did the most dangerous work," squeaked Mouse shrilly. "I bit off the eagle's wings. There was nothing else for Dog to do but bite his throat. And Cat? What did she do? Oh, she just made a lot of noise."
"How dare you say such a thing!" hissed Cat furiously. "I clawed his eyes. Only then could Dog kill him. I did the most dangerous work!"
"No, that's not true!'?  barked Dog angrily. "It was I who killed him. I alone! I bit through his throat with my strong teeth! I am the greatest hero! "
And so they started quarrelling. Soon Cat chased Mouse out of the palace, and Dog fought with Cat whenever they met.
Thus ended the friendship between Dog, Cat and Mouse. Since then the three have been enemies, but all three still like to live in the houses of men.
